A wonderful combination of modalities helps to bring awareness and balance to each of your chakras. We’ll explore and balance the chakras through various yoga poses, mudras, mantras, colors, visualizations, meditations and discussions on our experiences.
The Chakra system represents the energetic blueprint for the physical body described as “Spinning wheels of Light”. These energy portals exist up and down the spine, or rather, the central energy channel, the sushumna from the base of the pelvis floor to the top of the head and beyond. (See Diagram). Each Chakra represents different life stages and different life issues.
Through the use of sounds, imagery, yoga asana, mudras, mantras and crystal bowls we can enhance awareness of our subtle energy body and playfully work to bring balance back to our system.

With 20 years of massage experience Dennis will share with you many of the “Tricks” and “Tools” with which you can help to heal injured areas or create even greater health and balance for your self. In this workshop we investigate the most common tight, sore problem areas of the back, neck and shoulders and learn how to safely release them through stretching, breathing and massage. We will use a variety of physical tools to press into and to roll around on our bodies, as well as many other tricks of the trade that come with 20 years of massage experience. Massage, stretching and breathing can all help to return your body and mind to a more supple healthy state of being. Check schedule for upcoming dates. Introduction to Kirtan and Hindu Gods and Goddesses or who were singing to in Kirtans or Bhajans, Mantra Japa.
Life is a song meant to be sung from the heart. Bhakti is the yoga of the heart, the yoga of devotion. In this workshop you will be introduced to the most common and popular of the Hindu Deities, told how and why people pray to them for different purposes, and we will also chant some of the names as we go. To conclude we’ll work with visualization in connection with your Ishta or Deity of choice.
Anusara means “flowing with grace” and the style that founder John Friend has developed does exactly that. Rooted in devotion, Joy and Solid Alignment Principles, Anusara yoga offers, in my opinion, the best set of guidelines for a spiritually uplifting, dynamic, challenging and yet safe yoga practice.
We will examine the basics of the Anusara System.
Genuinely, a brief, compact introduction to Anusaras basics at 4 hours long.
Here we share 3 hours together exploring the most important and most common bones and muscles used in yoga poses. After an introduction to basic anatomy (bones and muscles) we will investigate the ways in which these structures move and function through the use of poses, imagery and understanding.
The deeper our knowledge of the self the more we understand, and the more we let go of understanding all together. The greater our ability to joyfully flow within the currents of life.
The more we understand of the bodies functions the greater our ability to keep ourselves safe in yoga classes and in all activities. This workshop will increase your self knowledge, and your possibility/ability to appreciate the miracle and wondrous beauty that is your body and deepen your relationship with mystery.
